I was very fortunate enough to travel to New York City this past week. I have been drooling over the sheer fact that Jeff Koons had an exhibit on the roof of the MET but never imagined I would have been able to see it before it was taken down. Lucky for me, I had a job interview in NYC this past week which then allowed me to see that and the waterfalls installed on the Hudson before they were both taken down. Yippie! As for the job front, hopefully good news will follow with that.
Its amazing to see in photos and in person! However, if you ever get a chance to see it in person Leigh, I highly recommend it! What is your favorite Jeff Koons piece?
I have two favorites, his "hair" painting and "hanging heart", for the simplicity of it and the symbolism of what it represents, we all sort of let are heart hang in vulnerability and I view the twists that it hangs all of ones stories the heart goes through.
